Indie Royale will bring fortnightly deals on bundles of four indie titles.
It’s a system launched by the chaps behind indiegames.com and Desura (the digital distribution service), and hopes to share a little of the success garnered by schemes like the Humble Indie Bundle.
Every two weeks, Indie Royale will offer four games for the price of $1.99 USD. As people purchase at that price, it steadily goes up. However, if anybody opts to buy the bundle for more than whatever the current price is, the cost will decrease for everyone.
It’s an unusual spin on the ‘pay what you want’ system, but an interesting one too.
This fortnight’s offerings are Gemini Rue, ARES Extinction Agenda, Sanctum and Nimbus. At the time of writing, the price for all four is $2.38 USD. Not bad.
Each game is offered as a direct download, and a Desura/Steam key (where possible). There are reportedly some issues with duplicate Steam keys at the moment, but the Indie Royale twitter feed suggests they’re on the case.
