Rocksteady identifies PC Batman: Arkham City save problem

PC owners of Batman: Arkham City have been reporting problems with vanishing save files for a while now, and it seems Rocksteady may now have found the source of the issue. In a post made on an official forum thread dealing with the problem, a Community Manager indicates that the file troubles may soon be over.
“We have now found the cause of the problem thanks to all your help,” writes Sarah Wellock, “We are now testing the solution and will keep you updated”.
Assuming the solution tests go well, PC users should hopefully be able to look forward to a future where their save files don’t mysterious vanish into the night like Batman himself.
