Riot Games launches RiotX Arcane Event for League of Legends and Valorant

A massive premiere.

League of Legends has always had rich in-game lore with an expansive universe, and Riot Games is taking it to the next level with its new Netflix show Arcane. To celebrate the premiere of Arcane, which releases on November 6, Riot Games is launching the RiotX Arcane Event. It will include festivities for all its flagship games like League of Legends and Valorant. Fans of the two universes can unite with free in-game events and rewards.

This celebration launches ahead of the League of Legends World Championship, which will feature an opening show with artists like Imagine Dragons, Bea Miller, and Denzel Curry. Fans will experience a journey through Piltover and Zaun, two cities featured in both Arcane and League of Legends. That same day, a global Twitch stream will feature a virtual red carpet and premiere the first episode of Arcane simultaneously with Netflix.

A massive premiere

All of Riot’s games will celebrate this special event, with more updates to come throughout November. League of Legends will release some free skins for Jayce, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx, the primary characters of Arcane and all highly popular characters in-game. Caitlyn is also receiving an “art & sustainability update,” which should improve some of her in-game graphics and gameplay. The Summoner’s Rift map will also get a facelift, with map accents to help the game feel more like Arcane‘s world. This is on top of the game’s new preseason, which will introduce new mechanics such as new elemental dragons, items, and runes.

League of Legends: Wild Rift is also celebrating Arcane with an in-game arcade event, new skins, and the release of Jayce and Caitlyn. Legends of Runeterra will introduce a new and permanent PvE mode, “The Path of Champions,” as well as new support cards hailing from Piltover and Zaun. Jayce is also releasing as a champion, and the game is getting a “Mega Event Pass.” Topping off the League of Legends’ events is Teamfight Tactics, which will see the release of a new set and a co-op game mode.

Chamber Riotx Arcane

Valorant is also joining in on the celebrations, despite its separation from the League of Legends universe. Players will receive a free RiotX Arcane Pass, and free in-game collectibles. The new champion Chamber will also join the cast of agents. A digital event, The World of RiotX Arcane, will allow players to learn more about the world of Arcane while earning free in-game rewards. Rewards will go live on November 7. You can also claim some Arcane-inspired rewards through Amazon Prime Gaming.

Finally, fans and players who tune in to the RiotX Arcane global premiere will receive the following in-game rewards through Twitch drops: A Single Tear Emote for Wild Rift, an Arcane Capsule for League of Legends, a Fishbones Gun Buddy for Valorant, a free Gizmos and Gadgets Little Legends Egg for Teamfight Tactics, and a Jayce emote for Legends of Runeterra. Be sure to check out the official Stream if you want to claim these rewards. The RiotX Arcane Global Premiere will begin on November 6, 8:30 PM ET.
