Riot Games Game Pass Collab Champions Unlocked

Riot Games brings its catalog plus more to Game Pass

I predict a Riot!

An exciting collaboration between Riot Games and Xbox was announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. Come winter, Game Pass owners will gain access to a variety of valuable perks for each of Riot Games’ most prominent titles. This partnership affects League of Legends, League of Legends Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and Valorant.

Riot’s catalog of games specializes in free-to-play titles. Due to this, it’s not access to the games themselves that Game Pass owners are benefiting from. Instead, Riot is offering roster unlocks and XP boosts for each of its games.

If you either play or were looking to play any of the five included games, this is an incredible deal. Just looking at League of Legends alone, the potential savings are considerable. League has a roster made up of over 140 champions. Purchasing all of these costs several hundred dollars. Admittedly no one plays all of them, but even so, this will definitely make it easier to try out new champions without worrying about the cost.

And that’s just one game. The same benefits of Riot Games’ partnership with Xbox Games Pass can be seen across all five included titles. One of Valorant‘s agents costs approximately $10 USD, but now you can gain access to all 20 of them for a fraction of the price. Plus a lot of people already subscribe to Game Pass anyway, in which case this is just an added bonus. If you happen to actively play one or two of the included games, then even better!

Game Pass is great!

It’s no secret to anyone that Xbox Game Pass is of incredible value. Be it the Ultimate Pass or PC Pass, they are all well worth subscribing to. The previous allure of first-party titles alone was exciting enough with Bethesda thrown in but now third-party studios like Riot Games are joining the fray.
