The Resident Evil 4 remake has a lot of guns to play around with. But sometimes, it’s nice to fall back on a reliable Assault Rifle. This weapon last made an appearance in the Resident Evil 3 remake. But luckily, you can get your hands on one here pretty easily, too. So, here’s how you can find the CQBR Assault Rifle in the Resident Evil 4 remake.
Resident Evil 4 remake: How to get the CQBR Assault Rifle
The CQBR Assault Rifle in Resident Evil 4 is first available in Chapter 10. As soon as you regain control of Leon, you can make a quick detour and locate the weapon. This is one of the few weapons in the game that can be found hidden somewhere in the world. Another example of this is the Red 9 which is found in a similar way.
From the start of Chapter 10 in the Resident Evil 4 remake, you’ll want to head over to the Castle’s Library. This is the same place that you just explored with Ashley. And just like in that section, there will be a few of the infected knight suits patrolling the area. Of course, this isn’t much of an issue for Leon. Plus, they’ll be even easier to defeat once you’ve got the CQBR Assault Rifle. Once you’ve reached the Library, head to the back of the room where you’ll find a staircase, and head to the next floor.
Once you’re on the upper floor, look a little to the left, and you’ll see a slot for the Cubic Device. Then, after you’ve solved the puzzle the CQBR Assault Rifle will reveal itself. It’s one of the Resident Evil 4 remake’s painless finds, and it’s well worth doing when you’ve got the chance. However, make sure you’ve got enough space for it in your inventory first. It fills up a 2×7 grid in the Attache Case. In fact, it’s the same size as the Stingray rifle. And since it essentially does the same job it may be a good idea to get rid of the Stingray first.
Is the CQBR Assault Rifle worth getting
The short answer is yes. The CQBR Assault Rifle is one of the best guns in Resident Evil 4. It packs a hell of a punch against enemies and can be equipped with a scope for long-range shooting. Its only downside is that it goes through ammo extremely quickly. And rifle ammo is both hard to find and expensive to make. So, if you’re going to use the Assault Rifle, you may want to make plenty of Rifle ammo to go along with it. It may seem like a lot of work, but this thing is very good against bosses and pesky enemies that try shooting Leon from afar.
