Are you interested in learning about the Bulwark stat in Remnant 2 and how to obtain it? The Bulwark is a new addition in Remnant 2, but unfortunately, information on what it is and how to get it is pretty scarce. However, it is vital in increasing your character’s survivability, especially for tank builds. To assist you in making the most of this stat for your character, we have provided a detailed explanation of the Remnant 2 Bulwark stat.

The Bulwark stat in Remnant 2 provides your character with a stackable reduction in damage when gained. The base Bulwark stat is stackable up to three times from 5-15%. For instance, one stack of Bulwark will provide a 5% reduction in damage to your character. You can get two more stacks for a maximum of 15% damage reduction. You can see if your character has the Bulwark stat by looking for a white shield icon in the Character menu. However, the icon will only appear for the duration it is active.

You can get the Bulwark stat in Remnant 2 in two ways: playing the Challenger archetype and using equipment that provides the Bulwark stat. Whether you play the Challenger archetype or not will dictate how many Bulwark stacks, you can obtain on your character but know it is possible to get Bulwark on other archetypes through specific equipment.

Note: There are more changes to be aware of besides Bulwark. To completely understand all status effects in Remnant 2, check out our guide!

The first way to get the Bulwark stat is by leveling the Challenger archetype to level 5 and using the Juggernaut Skill. When used, you will gain three stacks of Bulwark for 15%, increased Movement and Melee Speed, 50% increased Melee Damage, and Stagger Level reduced by one for 25.3 seconds (it has a 60-second cooldown). In addition, the Challenger has a perk called the Face of Danger, which provides two stacks of Bulwark for 10 seconds upon use.

The second way to get Bulwark in Remnant 2 is to equip gear that provides Bulwark. Examples of equipment that provide the Bulwark stat are the Guardian’s Ring, which gives one stack of Bulwark within 7m of an enemy, and another two stacks after taking melee damage.

However, using a piece of equipment that gives you a Bulwark, you can stack the Bulwark stat higher than the base 15% discussed above. For example, the Juggernaut skill will provide three stacks of Bulwark for 15% damage reduction, and your equipment will provide additional stats of Bulwark providing more than 15% damage reduction.
