Remedy Games, creator of Alan Wake, has signed up to EA’s digital distribution service Origin.
Alongside Remedy, today’s announcement includes the news that Iceberg Interactive, Focus Home Interactive, Macro Games, Strategy First, Legendo Entertainment and Selectsoft have also signed up.
The new additions take the total publishing partners on the service to 21, today’s seven joining the 14 previously confirmed – including THQ, Capcom and Trion Worlds.
As we reported yesterday, Origin now has 9.3 million registered users and sales since its full launch in June 2011 have topped $100 million.
David DeMartini, senior vice president of Origin, was neither shaken nor stirred in his praise for the service:
“The momentum that we’ve achieved with Origin since launching in June has been incredible, buoyed by great games and great partners.
“Our fast-growing user base demonstrates the interest from gamers across the world in fully-connected, 365-day digital game experiences. We’re committed to evolving and expanding Origin to help players get the absolute most out of their games, and we’re just getting started.”
