Redfall Old Town Safehouse Guide

Redfall: How to Unlock the Old Town Safehouse

An old school Safehouse.

Old Town is the area located to the Southeast on Redfall‘s first map. Just like the other areas you can explore, there’s a safehouse in this region that’s good to unlock as soon as possible. Luckily, this is also the easiest safehouse to get from the entire first map. So, here’s a quick rundown on how to find and unlock the Safehouse in Old Town for Redfall.

Redfall: How to get the Old Town Safehouse

You can find the Old Town Safehouse by heading to the western edge of the region. It’s tucked away in an alley, but as you get close to it, you should see its icon pop up. For a more detailed look at its location, check out the map below.

Once you arrive at the Old Town Safehouse, you’re going to want to take things slow, unlike most things in Redfall. You should see the two beams of light crossing each other in this alley. And if you follow those beams to their source, you’ll see they’re from an enemy called a Watcher. These aren’t too annoying to deal with, thankfully, not like some of the other enemies in the game like the Rook. In fact, there are a couple of quick ways to deal with the Watchers. My vote is to use a sniper rifle to guarantee some headshots. That, or you can sneak up below them and take them out with an assault rifle.

After the Watchers are dead, head over to the generator. Unlike the Basswood Safehouse, this generator does not require a key. After that’s done you’ve got free rein over the Old Town Safehouse in Redfall. This really is one of the easier safehouses to unlock in the game. And it’s one you’ll want to do as soon as possible. Unlocking a safehouse gives you a new checkpoint to respawn at, as well as another fast travel marker. So, take some time away from the main quest to get this done when you get the chance.
