ReCore

ReCore appears for PC in Microsoft’s 2016 line-up

Microsoft have put together a list of their “exclusive” titles for 2016, which includes an entry for ReCore on Windows 10. As with most Microsoft titles there was speculation about a PC version of this game, but I think this is the first official confirmation.

In case you need a reminder from E3 2015 about what the game actually is, here’s Inafune and Mark Pacini talking about ReCore over some of the only footage released so far.

Microsoft’s list distinguishes between a release coming to ‘Windows 10’ and those coming to ‘Steam’, which suggests that most of these titles will be OS-exclusive to Windows 10 (Fable Legends, for example, has already been confirmed as such). Not a particularly friendly decision, but more evidence that Microsoft want as many people on 10 as possible.

Here’s what will be coming to PC, in some form or another, from Microsoft in 2016.

  • Halo Wars 2 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Fall 2016
  • Fable Legends Open Beta (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016
  • ReCore (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
  • Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
  • Gigantic (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016
  • Killer Instinct: Season 3 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – March 2016
  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Windows 10) – Spring 2016
  • Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016
  • Cobalt (Xbox One, Xbox 360 & Steam) – Feb. 2, 2016
