1C Company has announced that it is developing forthcoming RTS title Real Warfare: 1242.Real Warfare: 1242 is billed as the first in a new series of strategy games that will use the Real Warfare label, and this entry focuses on Alexander Nevsky and his battles against the Mongol Horde.Players will guide Nevsky through historical battlegrounds as he faces off against Teutonic and Swedish knights, in addition to the fearsome Mongol Horde. The game is making a big point of historical accuracy, calling it “carefully maintained,” but equal focus seems to be going on the graphics which are said to use state-of-the-art technologies and motion-captured unit animation. We’re told to expect a significant level of depth and in-game freedom too, though, with “vast territories to conquer and control.”You can see what you think of the graphics in the new screenshots below. There’s no word on when this PC title will be out, but we’ll keep you posted.
