If you have them in your inventory, it means you have been there for the short time it was available. Some of the other rare Back Blings are only available by being a part of a certain event or promotional push.

If you really want to flex on your teammates and enemies, you should try to get your hands on some of these. However, a lot of the rarest Back Blings are never going to be available in Fortnite again.

Royale Shield

If you want to get this shield, you need to have reached level 21 in the Fortnite Season 2 battle pass. It hasn’t been available since, and so makes it one of the rarest Back Blings. It was originally released as part of their Fort Knights set but is now a standalone Back Bling you can no longer earn.

Galactic Disk

What makes this Back Bling so rare is the fact that you can only get it by purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or a Galaxy Tab 4. These are both very expensive pieces of gear, so the amount of people who managed to meet the criteria is pretty low.

This rare Back Bling in Fortnite really stands out due to its cool swirly, galactic pattern. It is quite different compared to the backpack style of most in this category.

This Back Bling was handed out when Fortnite had a bit of a problem with its servers. Nobody was able to load in for over a day back in 2018. This is ancient history for Fortnite, but for those of us who were there, this rare Back Bling was available for free in the marketplace. It hasn’t been available since making it one of the rarest Back Blings in Fortnite.

Backup Plan

Again, this Back Bling is from way back in 2018 when there were only 45 million registered users. The low player count has resulted in a few of the rarest Back Blings for Fortnite.

The Backup Plan was released as a reward to Twitch Prime subscribers. Anyone who linked Epic and Twitch Prime received this reward. It most likely won’t ever be available again, making it one of the rarest Back Blings in the game.

If you’re lucky enough to have bought a Nintendo Switch with the Double Helix bundle, you will have received this incredibly rare Back Bling. It is only available with this Nintendo Switch bundle and can’t be found anywhere else. The expensive nature and exclusive parameters mean that you will very rarely see it in the field. I don’t think any of the others on this list will set you back $299.

Penguin / Insignia

This duo set of Back Bling requires some serious hoop jumping to get your hands on. First of all, you need to be a part of the very limited Chinese player base, then you need to invite players through the WePlay platform to Fortnite. Finally, the friend needs to play a total of 10 hours in the game. Even this isn’t enough. You need to get more than one friend into the game.

Because of these crazy requirements for the Back Bling, and the limited Chinese player base, this is one of the rarest in Fortnite.

Black Shield

Back in the olden days of Fortnite, when there were only 10’s of millions of players, grinding for the season pass felt like a full-time job. We oldies didn’t have the free ride you young whipper snappers have. We had to work for that season pass. XP was earned through victories and kills rather than these daily challenges. I was there. I was in the trenches.

All the way back in Season 2 there was a legendary award for reaching level 70 of the season pass. This makes it the rarest Back Bling on the list. It was no easy feat getting to that level in Fortnite, but anyone who managed it now gets to wear this very limited cosmetic.
