Rainbow Six: Patriots wishes you an unhappy birthday

Ubisoft has released a ‘proof of concept’ video from Rainbow Six: Patriots features the worst birthday ever. The latest in the Tom Clancy-appended series was announced yesterday, but this is the first footage we’ve seen … and it’s not actually from the game.
Instead, it’s a concept piece; presumably one put together much earlier in the design process as an indication of ‘this is the direction we want to go in’. It’s pretty distressing stuff, though rather unbelievable and could easily be read as emotionally manipulative to the point of parody.
See what you think, below. Again, this is not gameplay footage. It may not even really give much of a clue as to final gameplay. It’s more of an example of the tone the title will try to set.
