Most caves in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom don’t require too much effort to enter. You may need to keep your eyes peeled for the entrance unless you get the Satori’s help, but once you do spot one, entering is as straightforward as simply walking inside. However, there exists at least one cave entrance placed in an unusual spot that requires a bit of ingenuity to access. This entrance leads to the Puffer Beach Overhead Cave, which this Tears of the Kingdom guide will explain how to reach.
Location of Puffer Beach Overhead Cave
As the name of the cave suggests, you can find this somewhat elusive location in Puffer Beach, one of the southernmost beaches of Hyrule. If you walk along the beach and go under the overhead cliff, you can spot the cave entrance way up above you. The large caches of Luminous Stone ore on the cave’s ceiling can serve as a helpful visual aid when looking for the entrance.
Of course, actually getting into the cave presents a bit of a conundrum due to its high-up location. Fortunately, when exploring the area underneath the cliff, it didn’t take me long to find a handful of Rocket devices lying around a nearby rock. By fusing one of the Rockets to my shield and holding down the guard button, I could propel myself right into the cave entrance. You can use a variety of means to access the cave, of course, but this functions as the intended solution.
The Puffer Beach Overhead Cave is one of the smaller caves in Tears of the Kingdom, which makes sense considering that getting to it is a challenge in and of itself. Alongside the usual Bubbul Gem, this cave houses the Phantom Helmet, which augments your attack power when worn. You can also blow up the aforementioned Luminous Stone caches to obtain the ore within, although much of it will likely fall to the beach below.
