Tim Schafer and Doube Fine achieved great success with a huge backing via Kickstarter. It started a huge crowdfunding phase where it seemed like everyone and their mother jumped on board to have their respective projects funded. Now, an emerging platform known as Fig, provides an opportunity for the investors to make money. With this comes the announcement of Psychonauts 2, which will be funded from the site.
