Pokémon GO took the world by storm back in 2016. That stranglehold on the mobile gaming market continues as Niantic is dedicated to delivering fresh content to keep new and old players interested.
In this guide, I’ll cover the best build for Timburr, a Fighting-type Pokémon originally found in the Unova region.
What is the best build for Timburr in Pokémon GO?
Timburr is the base-level Pokémon counterpart to Gurdurr, who is the first-level evolution in turn, as well as Conkeldurr, the second-level (and final) evolution stage of the creature. This Fighting-type Pokémon does not have stats as strong as others in the game, mostly because it’s still a base-level Pokémon. However, it still boasts a considerable amount of power for its base-stage status, with a maximum CP of 1487, a maximum attack of 134 ATK, a maximum defense of 87 DEF, and a maximum stamina of 181 STA.
Timburr has the ability to learn a variety of different moves from the Normal, Fighting, and Ground-type databases. The moves that it has the potential to learn include Low Kick (Fighting), Brick Break (Fighting), Pound (Normal), Rock Tomb (Rock) and Low Sweep (Fighting). Of these moves, the two that work best for Timburr under most weather conditions are Low Kick and Brick Break, since they offer a DPS of 8.52 (the highest out of any possible combination). However, since Timburr receives a weather boost whenever the weather is Cloudy, Pound and Brick Break will work best together when the weather is Partly Cloudy (but not fully Cloudy).
Pokémon types that Timburr counters best
The Pokémon types that Timburr counters the best are Rock-type Pokémon, Ice-type Pokémon and Dark-type Pokémon. This is because Timburr is a Fighting-type, and thus its moves will deal more damage to Pokémon from these types so long as you use Fighting moves. Timburr will also take reduced damage when being hit by moves of these three types, as well as Bug-type Pokémon.
Pokémon types that counter Timburr
If you’re dealing with a Timburr in a battle, such as a gym or against another trainer, try out a Fairy-type, Flying-type or Psychic-type Pokémon. Each of these will deal 160% damage against Timburr (and most other Fighting-type Pokémon), so you’ll easily gain the upper hand in battle by dishing out devastating damage! Good luck out there on the battlefield trainer, and remember to bring some PokéBalls!
