Players Polled Over Global Agenda’s 1.3 Release

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

Global Agenda developers have asked the players how they would like to see the game’s upcoming patch 1.3, also known as Sandstorm, released.

The options are for Hi-Rez to release the features that are ready right now and get the rest out when it’s finished, or to wait until the full patch is ready to be released.

Right now, an overwhelming majority of players have opted to get what’s ready as soon as possible, rather than having to wait any longer.

If you need reminding of what’s to come in Sandstorm, a brief run-down includes new weapons and armour that will drop in PvE encounters and will also be available to purchase, Open zones that will create a more immersive world and allow solo play, PvE co-op missions for 10 players and large-scale Warzone PvP battles for 32v32 players.

AvA will also be getting a huge re-vamp; the reward system is being improved, and players will be able to create weapons and armour in AvA facilities. The open/close times of zones is also being extended to one long period, probably around 8-12 hours. Finally, new weapons and devices are being added, with each class getting about eight new choices. Some of the examples named were the flame turret, a long range grenade launcher, high accuracy rifles, a laser (instant) sniper rifle, duel wield swords, and a combat jetpack. These new items will be purchased with special tokens, and will be available to players over level 30.

Finally, there are a number of UI upgrades due to take place, PvE kills will reward XP, there’s new animations for gaining a level, and work on DX10 support is going on.
