Player finds genius way to gather resources in LEGO Fortnite

Who needs tools, anyway?

In LEGO Fortnite, a lot of your time is spent harvesting resources, and the novelty wears off after a while. To help reduce the burden of stone and wood harvesting, check out this neat trick.

Stairs are the ultimate tool in LEGO Fortnite

Collecting resources in LEGO Fortnite is the bane of players, as all they want to do is build things and have fun. This has pushed one player to stumble into an incredible trick that addresses this issue.

Posted r/LEGOfortnite, user MeatXD2 highlighted a trick that abuses a feature that relates built objects to other objects. In LEGO Fortnite, certain build objects get broken when another attached to them gets broken. This isn’t always consistent, but it’s there.

I had always thought this feature was confined to the limits of built objects, but apparently, this extends to naturally occurring things as well. Watch below as MeatXD2 places some stairs right next to some trees and rocks…

They break when the stairs break. For some reason, perhaps due to the unorthodox structure of the stairs, the objects underneath the stairs become dependent on the stairs. I reckon they become “supports” for the stairs, and hence if the stairs break, they break.

This does revolutionize the boring chore of hunting down stone and trees. Sure, they’re easy enough, but it’s a long process, and using the stairs can break more than one resource point at a time. Naturally, this method may become less useful if you have more powerful tools, but for early-game players, this is an incredible trick.

It also allows you to break these resources indefinitely without tools, which is honestly the bane of my life. Constantly having to bring spare tools due to their weak durability sucks, and I will now never have to worry about that again.
