Another pair of (we assume at this point) Pillars of Eternity 2 images have been released by Obsidian, this time accompanied by numbers. Those numbers aren’t present on the developer’s official site, but do appear on the twitter feed.
An image issued on Sunday was tweeted with the number 26. Today’s picture has the number 10. The original Pillars of Eternity was released on 26 March 2015 (a Thursday). 26 October 2017 (26/10) is also a Thursday. Whether we’ve really been given a release date there is purely in the realms of speculation, but it’s an interesting connection. If the next couple come with ’20’ and ’17’, then that’ll be a bit more conclusive.
In terms of what the images themselves portray, it appears we’re well into the realms of hints at new companion characters. Sunday’s picture featured the Brotherhood of the Five Suns symbol again (as with the earlier one referencing Pelligina), but paired it with some scales. Today’s image is more abstract, and may offer further indication that the sequel will be heading across waters to new locations.
