Sega announced today that Phantasy Star Online 2 Global is available on the Epic Games Store. Join parties of up to 12 players to embark on several missions across the universe. The Phantasy Star Online 2 Global Epic Games Store launch includes all six episodes. Plus, there’s brand new content and a collaboration with Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
Phantasy Star Online 2 Global‘s content update includes “Special Breakthrough Training: Episode 6,” a virtual reality environment where players can break Shiva’s defense. Additionally, there are new items in the Rising Weapons Badge 5 Exchange Shop. The Gift, Elegant, Soul, Factor, and Reverie Receptors were added to benefit their respective Augments.
Sega also added a new block specifically for players looking to do Quest Triggers. Other new additions include a Summoner Pet named Vulcan S and the Klauz Unit Series with powerful weapons.
Phantasy Star Online 2 meets Star Blazers 2199
The content update brings a new collaboration between Phantasy Star Online 2 Global and 2013’s sci-fi anime, Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199. The series followed a space crew on their journey to save humanity from an alien takeover. The newest AC Scratch Ticket collection, called Cosmo Fleet Heroes, features outfits and accessories inspired by the show. Included in the collection are Yamato chief officer uniforms for male and female races, as well as outwear, innerwear, and headwear. Players must draw an AC Scratch Ticket for a chance to win a piece from this massive collection. This ticket collection ends on March 17.
Phantasy Star Online 2 Global added English text and voice acting to the original Japanese game. All of the original events and campaigns are still included. The game also receives frequent content updates and quality-of-life improvements. Phantasy Star Online 2 Global is available today on the Epic Games Store, plus Steam and the Microsoft Store.
