It might not win any graphical beauty contests on PC, but PES 2017 will be getting updated on our platform all the same. A note from Konami about a pair of updates for the game says that 1.02 will be out in late October, with 1.03 coming some time in November.
The former will include new facial likenesses for, among others, “Wissam Ben Yedder, Mario Lemina, Aymeric Laporte, Victor Wanyama and Denis Suarez,” and will recreate their playing styles within the game with the Player ID system. In all, “over 39” players (so … 40?) will be recognised in honour of their excellent early-season form. 1.02 will also bring “new official boot styles” to the game, and some new advertising hoardings.
Then, in November, 1.03 will add some specific Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund flavour to PES 2017. Anfield, and the Signal Iduna Park stadium will be included, along with some Liverpool songs and chants (including, of course, You’ll Never Walk Alone).
