How to beat Heat Balance in Persona 3 Reload

After encountering Heat Balance during the storyline in Persona 3 Reload, you’ll then find it in the lower half of the Arqa block in Tartarus. They’re a fairly common spawn on these floors so be prepared to start fighting them often. As you may have guessed from the name and its appearance, Heat Balance is resistant against both Fire and Ice spells. It’ll also use Agi, Maragi, Bufu, and Mabufu for its attacks. However, Heat Balance is also weak to Lightning and Wind magic.

Luckily Heat Balance isn’t immune to any form of damage in Persona 3 Reload, so once you’ve gained a few levels you can just rush it and get fights over with pretty quickly. That being said, Heat Balance can still overwhelm your party if you aren’t careful. This is especially true if you haven’t leveled up much at this point. So be sure to spend plenty of time in Tartarus now while you can.

Best Personas and party members

Any Persona that has Wind or Lightning magic will excel in a fight against Heat Balance. Angel, Nigi Matama, and Tam Lin are the best choices generally. Oberon is decent too but it has a weakness against Ice so be careful when using it against Heat Balance. Persona 3 Reload also lets you use Skill Cards to give Personas specific skills. So if you don’t have any with Lightning or Wind magic, double check you don’t have a Skill Card.

As for party members in Persona 3 Reload, Akihiko and Yukari are your best attackers against Heat Balance. Akihiko has Lightning magic, while Yukari has Wind. Unfortunately, Akihiko is also weak to Ice, but as long as he can use Zio or Mazio first, then it won’t matter. Yukari isn’t weak to Fire or Ice though so she can take these enemies head on with no worries.

There are plenty more enemies to fight in Persona 3 Reload, and soon you’ll be facing some tough enemies. Get a head start and learn about how to defeat the Vicious Raven who you’ll soon encounter.
