While playing Persona 3 Reload, you’ll eventually come to find out about Status Ailments, but how do they all affect you?
Both your party members and enemy Shadows can be affected by Status Ailments, so let’s go over how seriously they mess with you.
All Status Ailments and what they do in Persona 3 Reload
Status Ailments are unique conditions you or enemies can have during combat that affect how you perform. They’ll nearly all last a few turns, and different types of consumables and skills can cure you of them. On the flipside, some consumables and skills can inflict Status Ailments onto enemies.
Ailment | Effect |
---|---|
Charm | Forces affected target to attack their allies or heal their enemies. |
Distress | Lowers the target’s DEF, increases the chance of getting hit with a Crit, and increases the chance of insta-kill spells to succeed. |
Dizzy | Forces target to lose their turn and can lead to a “one more”. |
Down | Target falls prone after being hit by their weakness and gives the attacker a “one more”. |
Fear | Target is unable to take an action during their turn, or can flee from battle. Is also more likely to take a Crit. |
Freeze | Renders target unable to move and forces them to lose their turn. Is also more likely to take a Crit. |
Panic | Target is unable to use their Persona or any Magical attacks. They can still use Physical attacks or use consumables to heal. |
Poison | After the target’s turn, they take a small amount of damage. Will only recover through being cured. |
Rage | Forces target to ignore commands and they’ll automatically attack in battle. While their ATK is increased, their DEF and Accuracy are lowered. |
Shock | Renders target stunned and unable to move while also taking Electric damage on their turn. It’s a guaranteed Crit if you hit this target. |
