Many players are demanding refunds from EA, after Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 on the PC turned out to be a reskinned version of Tiger Woods Online.
It seems buyers had (not unreasonably) expected the PC release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 to be similar to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Especially as EA’s own page for the game made no particular distinction between the releases.
Features like “The Caddie Experience” are listed, but do not feature in the PC release.
A lengthy thread in EA’s forums contains more complaints, including sub-standard graphics. The title is based on the Unity engine, most commonly used to power browser-based games.
Several forum posters have confirmed that they have received refunds from EA, but it’s not yet clear if this is standard policy for all who request one, or being handled case-by-case.
