PC Invasion Supporter December Update

Hello once again PC Invasion supporters!

We’re back with a new month and what a month it’s been for releases, we’ve been totally snowed under trying to wade through it all. I think Peter was working on between three and five games at one point.

Anway, it’s coming to the awards season and we have already begun our shortlist of titles for this year. It’s not going to be easy to come up with a final shortlist but the three of us are discussing what should and should not make the final cut.

We aim to get the PC Invasion Reader Awards up and ready for your votes some time in the next two weeks so watch out for that.

In other news, well I have had to do a lot more work on ad sales, it’s the one part of running the site I don’t relish, and for some reason, we had an influx of inquiries in the past 3 weeks. That’s kept me rather busy but had also meant Peter has had to step in and help with news a little more. Things will start to settle down now though with the holidays coming up.

We are also in discussions with our sales partner Games Republic who handle the PC Invasion Store. We are looking to get a special discount code which would knock money off games in the store for Supporters. We’re working out the finer details at the moment but hopefully we will have some news soon to share.

For the past couple of weeks, I have been playing a lot of Paragon, no surprise there. During the play sessions, I have been utilising the chat/voice app Discord. It was particularly useful during a play session with the Epic devs last week.

What we have done is  launch our own Discord PC Invasion channel which we will be using when playing stuff and just generally shooting the breeze. If you have discord, just hit this link and you can join the channel. It’s spanking new so it’s a little empty at the moment. However, we do want to connect with you guys as much as possible. We’ll add a link to it on the front of the site shortly.

As far as game reviews etc goes this month, well most of the big games are now out, Tim is working on Watch Dogs 2 right now, I am looking at a few bits and pieces of VR stuff as well a some Paragon Monolith features and videos, and Peter is working on the various awards bits and pieces.

Don’t forget to let us know how we are doing on the comments. Are we doing things right? What do you want more or less of? Should we venture out of the bunker? Just let us know.
