PC Invasion Podcast #85

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Episode 85 of the PC Invasion Podcast brings back some news chat; in part because while Tim has played some games, I haven’t got quite so much to talk about. After some 1985 album deliberations, we move on to EA’s recent closure of Visceral Games.

Then we talk a bit about Vermintide 2, and explore Tim’s deep and troubling animosity towards Elves and the Elvish people. Please excuse his views, he needs some help. Anyway, it looks like Chaos will be teaming up with Skaven in this sequel, and the returning heroes all have new ‘career’ options now. The main career for everyone will probably be ‘kill lots of Skaven and Chaos things’ though, I’d imagine.

Our final topic in news discussion corner is the Ziff Davis/IGN acquisition of Humble, and what that might mean for both companies. Other than the fact that it pretty much sucks.

Then, games. Tim has shot and stealthed his way through The Evil Within 2, so tune in for some post-completion thoughts on that game. The full review can also be read here. He’s also got a little way into South Park: The Fractured But Whole, which sparks some superhero tangents. After that, there’s a bit more Shadow of War talk.
