Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (Owlcat Games): September 2
The sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker continues the complex and entertaining board game adaptation. This time, you’ll be leading your own crusade to counter a demon invasion.
Bravely Default II (Square Enix): September 2
This RPG with turn-based battles was originally released on the Nintendo Switch back in February. It’s now coming to PCs in September 2021.
A Total War Saga: Troy – Mythos (Creative Assembly): September 2
Wage war as the Greeks or Trojans. But, this time around, you’re backed by the might of mythological creatures such as the Griffin, Lernaean Hydra, and Cerberus. In a way, A Total War Saga: Troy – Mythos is finally embracing its mythology/fantasy appeal as opposed to the “Truth Behind the Myth” concept.
Encased (Dark Crystal Games): September 7
Encased is an RPG in the vein of the classic Fallout and Wasteland games. Set in an alternate 1970s, you’ll set out to search The Dome to find out about the alien beings that left it there.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt (Sharkmob): September 7 (Early Access)
This battle royale game is set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe.
Dream Cycle (Cathuria Games): September 7 (Early Access)
This action-adventure game has you using your weapons and powers to escape a shattered dimension.
Tales of Arise (Bandai Namco): September 10
The seventeenth (!) entry in the Tales franchise.
Life is Strange: True Colors (Deck Nine): September 10
The next installment in the Life is Strange franchise has you playing as Alex Chen. With her Empathy, she’s able to absorb the emotions of other people.
NBA 2K22 (Visual Concepts/2K): September 10
Get ready for another season of NBA basketball.

Lost in Random (Zoink/Thunderful): September 10
Join Even as she searches for her sister Odd in this adventure where darker variants of fairy tales come to life.
Deathloop (Arkane Studios): September 14
Are you a master of time, or a master of none? Deathloop emphasizes the combat we’ve come to expect from the creators of the Dishonored series. Judging by the reveal, it looks like something janky is going on with time itself, and we seem to be stuck in a time loop.

Gamedec (Anshar Studios): September 16
Gamedec puts you in the role of a “game detective,” someone who solves crimes in the virtual world. As you gather evidence and find out the truth, the game will also adapt based on the decisions that you’ve made.
Aragami 2 (Lince Works): September 17
Hide in the shadows and silently assassinate your foes.
Tails of Iron (Odd Bug Studio): September 17
Part Metroidvania and part Souls-like, you’ll control a rat who wants to reclaim his throne.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits (Ember Lab): September 21
An adventure game where your character guides the deceased to the spirit world.
Diablo II: Resurrected (Blizzard Entertainment): September 23
It’s time to return to an old classic, now remastered for the modern age. Diablo II: Resurrected features updated 3D visuals, enhanced effects, 4K support, and cross-progression across multiple platforms via Battle.net.
Sable (Shedworks): September 23
Sable is a coming-of-age tale of discovery through exploration across a strikingly rendered open-world desert.
New World (Amazon Games): September 28
Journey to the mystical world of Aeternum in this MMORPG from Amazon. After several delays, we now know that it’ll release in September 2021.
Outer Wilds – Echoes of the Eye (Mobius Digital): September 28
Search for the dark and mysterious secrets of outer space.
Lemnis Gate (Ratloop Games): September 28
Lemnis Gate combines several mechanics from various genres. Sure, it’s an FPS game. But, there’s a layer of strategy involved since matches take place in a time loop. Your turn consists of 25 seconds where you can maneuver and take out hostiles.
Away: The Survival Series (Breaking Walls): September 28
Control different creatures as you crawl, scurry, and glide in the animal kingdom.
In Sound Mind (We Create Stuff): September 28
A first-person psychological horror game with several puzzles and boss encounters.
Astria Ascending (Artisan Studio): September 30
This JRPG from former Final Fantasy developers features eight playable deities.
Hot Wheels Unleashed (Milestone): September 30
Love those tiny, die-cast vehicles? Well, it’s time to try them out in this arcade racing game.
Rogue Lords (Cyanide Studio/Leikir Studio): September 30
As the title hints, this is a roguelike game. However, you’ll be controlling the Devil who’s out for vengeance against the demon hunters who imprisoned him.
Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality (Maze Theory): September 30
Doctor Who: The Edge of Time was originally released as a VR title. This one, which still has you controlling the Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), is a reimagined version for non-VR platforms.
