Let’s discuss the Valmallos Threshold dungeon in Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousInevitable Excess.

For the most part, this trek through the dungeon won’t cause a lot of hassles (at least not in terms of puzzles or brain teasers). You will, however, face off against several tough enemies (everything from Golems and Axiomites to Gallus and Glabrezus). In the first area (the lower reaches), all you need to do is use your Dimension Door teleport until you get to the far end. There’s a portal that takes you to the upper section.

In the upper section, teleport to the platforms below and take out the mobs. Cleanse the corruption and pull the lever, which will let you go across to the ruins. You’ll see the Commander’s party arrive, and Nocticula will tempt you as well. If you agree to receive her gift, you’ll receive the Twilight Shade, a helmet that grants DR 10 when the wearer is under invisibility effects.

Forge ahead, and you’ll encounter a mechanism that’s not working yet. That’s because you need to head up the sloping corridor all the way to the back. After eliminating the hostiles, pick up the Machinery Part. Insert that in the device to make additional platforms pop up.

Once you hop to the higher ledge, you’ll fight against even more enemies. Take care of them, and you’ll notice a couple of mechanisms. These control the main clock puzzle. In my case, I simply interacted with the mechanism at the top, and then the one below that. This caused the clock hands to rotate fully, spawning a pathway that leads back to the portal.

Go through the portal and you’ll find yourself at the lower section once more. However, you should be able to teleport to a floating platform. After beating up more foes, you can cleanse the statue and make your way down. Shortly thereafter, you’ll watch a scene where the Commander is fighting the Echo of Deskari. You’ll also get a Mythic level-up moment here, though it won’t actually add extra levels.

In any case, continue teleporting onto the new platforms, and some will also flip/rotate to let you traverse the area. Eventually, you’ll reach the last ledge just before the circular arena. Buff up with everything you’ve got because it’s time to take on the DLC’s bosses. Let’s discuss the encounters in the next part of our guide.
