Cleansing the Ziggurat is one of the errands in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous‘ Inevitable Excess DLC. It’ll take you to an undead stronghold, which you should be familiar with if you picked the Lich Mythic Path in the base campaign. This short trek will lead you to an encounter with some familiar faces. Here’s our Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Inevitable Excess Cleansing the Ziggurat guide to help you complete this sidequest.

Unlocking the Ziggurat and Getting the Silver Tongue Achievement
To start the Cleansing the Ziggurat errand in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Inevitable Excess, you’ll need to speak to Zacharius in the Threshold camp. He’ll only show up in the main area once you’ve completed A Threat to This World and the Other Side of Threshold dungeon. Say that you’ll help out, and make your way to Iz. In the northeast corner of the broken city, you’ll find the Ziggurat entrance.
Inside, there are several small rooms that are filled with traps and undead mobs. Take your time when eliminating them, and make sure you save before entering the main chamber.
You’ll come across the five Lich undead companions (i.e., Staunton Vhane, Ciar, Delamere, Kestoglyr, and Queen Galfrey). You can make them back off through multiple dialogue responses (i.e., Intimidate 60, Diplomacy 60, Religion 60, Diplomacy 60, and Diplomacy 65, respectively). If you do these successfully, you’ll get the Silver Tongue achievement.
There’s also the Azata option to make all of them leave. However, this does not give you the achievement. In any case, you’ll need to fight the Grave Guards that didn’t get convinced, alongside zombie Terendelev.
When you’re done, take the Grave Shivering cloak from one of the containers in the chamber (it’s got a nifty freezing aura effect). Likewise, you can grab a Donkey’s Moss here, which is required for the His Majesty’s Anguish sidequest.
Order vs. Chaos
Head to the topmost chamber and you’ll meet Elyanka and Septimus. You can either fight them, pick the Bluff 60 reply, or the Azata option to make them both leave. You’ll then need to choose what to do with the Pillar of Skulls:
- Order – Destroy the Pillar of Skulls.
- Chaos – Ask what it can offer in exchange and leave it intact.
Anyway, if you’re going for the regular endings, then the choice is really up to how you’ll want to progress. Still, for the Paradox secret ending, you’ll need an equal number of Order and Chaos points toward the end. Lastly, don’t forget to pick up the Soulless Command, a +5 haramaki with saving throw bonuses against Necromancy spells, as well as a proc that summons a particular undead when you take out an enemy.
