Pokemon GO is now venturing itself into a new era of on-the-go Pokemon catching. Finally, we will get to join our friends in wonderful and fun adventures across our very world and streets. Party Play comes out today, and with it, new challenges that will require us to bring other Pokemon trainers with us. Here is what a party is in Pokemon GO.

A party in Pokemon GO, just like its normal definition for gaming in general, is a group of people playing Pokemon GO together. Roll credits. Just kidding. Whether we caught the Pokemon GO fever during its early days or you are just creating your account, most of us have gone Pokemon hunting with friends. That made us a party, but there was no in-game mechanic that could link us all together to play. That all changes now with Party Play, which allows up to four Pokemon GO trainers to join an in-game party, complete Party Challenges, and even see your friends’ avatars on your map.

How to create and join a party in Pokémon GO

As with many other games, you will be able to both host and join a party. It is really easy in the case of Pokemon GO, so take notes:

  • Access the new Party tab in your Trainer profile.
  • Select Create.
  • You will receive a numerical code or a QR code.
  • Share the numerical core with your friends or make them scan the QR code.
  • Enjoy hosting your Pokemon GO party.

How to join a party in Pokemon GO

  • Access the new Party tab in your Trainer profile.
  • Select Join Party.
  • Input the party’s numerical code or scan its QR code.
  • Once the host starts the party, you are good to go!

What is a Party Challenge in Pokémon GO

A Party Challenge is nothing but an activity you get to do along with your friends. Each of these activities will grant you in-game rewards and will be made available as soon as you create your party successfully. Here are some of the activities you can complete as Party Challenges:

  • Spinning PokeStops.
  • Battle in Raids.
  • Catch Pokemon.
  • And many more…

And that’s how Party Play works in Pokemon GO! While challenging raids with your friends, you will also receive the Party Power bonus. This will double the damage of your Charged Attacks and will charge every time you perform a Fast Attack. The more people you have in your party, the faster the Power bonus will charge. Go ahead and complete your Party Challenges and become the best Pokemon party ever!
