Paradox reveals three games at once [Video]

This article is over 12 years old and may contain outdated information

Paradox has taken the saturation bombing approach to games announcement today, revealing three titles at once at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. These are the three projects that the company previously teased. So, what are they?
Project JFK has evolved into Arrowhead’s The Showdown Effect; a 2.5D multiplayer action shooter … thing, which promises an awful lot of customisation and, if the trailer below is any indication, terrible voiceovers. Arrowhead developed Magicka, which bodes well for the multiplayer thrills of this thing.

Next up is Dungeonland, which used to known as Project Revenge! This is looking like a co-op dungeon crawler with a couple of twists. One, the entire thing is set inside a massive theme park; and two, the ‘dungeon master’ will be another human player, placing traps and monsters to trip you up. Potentially a bit like the Zombie Master mod for Half-Life 2.

Finally, there’s Red Frontier (known as Project Silverado in a former life). Developed by Zeal Studios, this game promises “elements from popular RTS’s … a dash of modern shooters, a side order of a tabletop wargame and a sprinkle of sci-fi”. Looks a bit Dawn of War 2-ey from the trailer (again, below).

All of these titles will be released for PC.
