Palworld shiny hunting guide: how to find Lucky Pals

Lucky day to be a Pal.

Palworld has blended some of the best gaming mechanics we’ve seen over the years all into one package. The final result has been a blast thus far. Palworld borrows a lot of mechanics from Pokemon, including its own version of Shiny Pokemon called Lucky Pals.

How to Find Lucky Pals in Palworld

At first glance, Palworld is a darker, satirical version of the Pokemon universe, and they’ve taken some inspiration from the series in several regards. One of these aspects is the notion of some Pals being slightly shiny, which Pokemon fans are all too familiar with.

However, in Palworld, they’re called Lucky Pals, and there are more benefits to obtaining them than just their looks. For instance, upon catching one of them and adding it to your squad, you will gain the passive effect called Rare which will increase Work Speed and Attack Power by 15 percent each.

It’s worthwhile to hunt down some Lucky Pals, but similar to shiny Pokemon, these Lucky Pals are going to be trickier to catch than your standard Pals. When exploring the world, keep your eyes and ears alert at all times. Lucky Pals are going to be slightly larger than regular Pals in their class, and they’re also going to emit some loud cries as you get closer to them.

Once you’ve spotted one, don’t lose sight of Lucky Pals. While these encounters are completely random at the end of the day, if you manage to see a Lucky Pal, it’s best to chase it down no matter where it runs off.

Keep an eye out while you’re exploring. As so many of us have learned in our years hunting Shiny Pokemon, patience is key. And while you’re out there, be on the lookout for Palworld’s rare materials.
