Overwatch 2 has a ton of maps developed for players to enjoy, but for Quick Play or Competitive enthusiasts, you won’t be able to play all of these maps in the same season. Overwatch 2 introduced a map pool in Season 2, which introduces a rotation of maps that you may encounter in Quick Play or Competitive mode. If a map is not currently included in the rotation, you will not see that map in your games. This is to keep the game feeling fresh.
While many of the maps found in Season 1 of Overwatch 2 will remain, the map pool for Overwatch 2 Season 2 will be considerably different. In addition to all of the ordinary map changes, we have a new map called the Shambali Monastery. This map takes place in Zenyatta and Ramattra’s former home. As an Escort map, you will take a payload from one point to the other, fighting the other team in an attempt to push the payload the farthest.
What are the map pool changes in Season 2 of Overwatch 2?
Here are the maps in Overwatch 2 in Season 2. Shambali Monastery is the only new map, but there are returning additions that you will be pleased (or upset, depending on your love for these maps) to see.
