How to get to the other side of Oubliette in Baldur’s Gate 3

Exploring new dimensions!

If you’re in Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ve probably become accustomed to how the controls work so far. However, there is one thing that may still cause you some trouble. In this guide, we will cover how to get to the other side of Oubliette, which is a hidden area beneath the Moonrise Towers that has a restricted part to it that is even harder to access than the general area itself.

How to get to Ketheric Thorm on the other side of Oubliette in BG3

Oubliette is where you will need to fight Ketheric Thorm, whom you’ll have to defeat to access a secret area. The first section of Oubliette is tough enough to get through, but all you need is a spell, like Misty Step or Dimension Door, and you’ll be in! Sounds pretty straightforward, right? Well, the boss fight you’re about to begin has three different stages, so you will need to bring all of your wits if you hope to come out on top. Be sure to take down his army of minions first and then move to focus on the boss himself.

Once you’ve finished off Ketheric, he’ll be dragged away by a massive tentacle that breaks a tower and yanks him off to who-knows-where. Scary stuff. After this traumatic event, you’ll be able to see that the broken tower has a suspicious red-colored glow emitting from within. Keep in mind that the tower that breaks after you defeat Ketheric is randomized, so you won’t know exactly which one to check out and it’ll vary from game to game. Simply enter the broken tower and you’ll gain access to the Mindflayer Colony on the other side, as well as rescue Zevlor from his abductors.
