This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

Codemasters has announced the first downloadable content for the PC version of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will be available from tomorrow. The Skirmish DLC pack features four new multiplayer maps and two new Fire Team Engagement (FTE) missions which can be played solo or with up to three friends in co-op.Of the multiplayer maps, two support the Infiltration game type – Lumberyard (hunt down SAM launchers)  and White Fang (room-to-room close combat) – alongside two new Annihilation maps, Stomping Grounds (large scale skirmish across a valley) and Force Dispersal (two bases separated by a hill). The new FTEs are All Round Defence and Uphill struggle – in the former players are in charge of air support and attack choppers as they protect a complex from waves of PLA while in Uphill Struggle players must capture a bunker under attack from hillside reinforcements. And, to top it all off, the Skirmish pack will also include the Island Tour mode which lets you explore Skira freely in solo or co-op in a variety of vehicles.Codies has apparently listened to the community feedback as, alongside the new DLC, a title update will also be released addressing a number of issues in the single and multiplayer game.   The Skirmish pack is free for PC users and will apparently soon hit Xbox LIVE and PSN where it will cost 400 MS Points and £3.19 GBP respectively.
