We’ve known the launch date for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 since November 2019. And as we’ve waited, with varying amounts of patience, Bandai Namco Entertainment has treated us to an immense amount of gameplay and character trailers. But at last, the wait is almost over. It’s just about time for players to don their pirate hats – straw or otherwise.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will launch on March 27. That’s this Friday, for those who don’t keep track of the date. To mark the occasion, Bandai Namco has put together another gameplay trailer. This launch trailer is packed with the One Piece pirates showing off their powerful moves.
A new piece of info revealed in the launch trailer is that the game will contain more than 100 side quests. That’s a staggering amount of additional content beyond the main storyline. You’ll access these missions through the Treasure Log, and Bandai Namco says they will provide players with dozens of hours of additional action.
Steam marks the spot
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is available for pre-purchase on Steam. You still have a little bit of time to get your orders in if you want the treasure trove of pre-purchase bonuses, including early access to the three Vinsmoke Brothers and two Dynasty Warriors inspired costumes for Boa Hancock and Trafalgar Law. You can check them all out below.
If you’re a serious fan or you’re feeling flush with cash, you can also pick up the Deluxe Edition of the game for $89.99. This includes the Character Pass, which will give you access to nine characters, as well as an early unlock of Charlotte Katakuri. Katakuri is part of the Big Mom Pirates and second in power only to Big Mom herself. In the anime series, he was undefeated in battle until he faced Luffy.
