Fanboys, set your emotion to disappointed.
It’s been a big week for Epic, satisfying two major segments of the tech-geek market. Not only was Gears of War 3 released (our review here), but it was also confirmed that the latest edition of the Unreal Development Kit includes support for developers to create games for Mac.
However, it’s not all peaches and cream in the epic world of Epic Games. In an interview with Forbes, president of the company Mike Capps confirmed that the company is not currently working on a new edition into the Unreal franchise.
“Unreal and Unreal Tournament continue to have a huge influence on the studio here, even though we’re not currently working on an Unreal IP project,” Capps told the publication.
Capps did drop a hint that Epic would be working again with People Can Fly, developers of Bulletstorm.
“We learned that People Can Fly can make a really fun project, and we learned how to work together well – and that’s going to show in what they’re doing next.”
(Yes, that pic really is of Mike Capps.)
