Level 12: The Sanctum

Recommended Videos

The Sanctum is one of the coolest levels in Oddworld: Soulstorm.

There are only a few Mudokons here.

  • Mudokons: 4
  • Required for 80%: 4

Mudokon #1 and 2

The first Mudokon is right next to the first bird portal that you’ll spot.

The second Mudokon is just to the right.

Mudokon #3 and 4

Another Mudokon is found as you drop down a bit.

The last Mudokon is next to the checkpoint and bird portal.

If you go further down below, you’ll enter the Sanctum proper. A lengthy cinematic will follow and you’ll find yourself in a dark area.

You’ll be up against Sleeches, deadly creatures that’ll devour Abe within seconds. You can use the hand torch (flashlight), flares, Abe’s chant, and glowing crystals to scare them away.

Later, you’ll be in a cavernous room. You’ll have to complete three trials in different chambers (often with lots of Sleeches and traps). Let’s just say you’ll get The Descent and Indiana Jones vibes.

Anyway, let’s talk about the Escape level in Oddworld: Soulstorm.
