Nvidia 385.41 drivers released, supporting Destiny 2 beta

Nvidia have released a new set of drivers, 385.41, in pre-emptive support of the upcoming Destiny 2 PC beta. The drivers also have additional support for F1 2017, ARK, and PES 2018.

The Destiny 2 beta begins through Blizzard’s Battle.net platform on 28 August (if you pre-ordered the game) and on 29 August for everybody else. It ends on 31 August.

It hasn’t been long since the previous set of Nvidia drivers, so the list of fixes is pretty brief. GTX 970s should have fewer problems with dropped frames in Quantum Break with 385.41. See below for the driver release notes, which include details of new SLI and ‘Whisper Mode’ profiles.

Game Ready – Provides the optimal gaming experience for Destiny 2 PC Open Beta, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, ARK: Survival Evolved, F1 2017, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, and Quake Champions Early Access.

Feature Changes – Removed nvtray process.

Effective with GeForce Experience 3.9 and later.
Eliminated NVIDIA Tray icon from Windows task manager.
