Businesses love tooting their own horns, and Amazon.co.uk is no exception. In response to a flood of pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the online retailer has put out a press release noting that pre-orders in the first 24 hours have been three times higher than those for the original Black Ops.
It’s very surprising news that a new Call of Duty game is popular with the general public, and Amazon.co.uk’s Graham Chambers agrees. “I don’t know where all these pre-orders came from”, he said “who knew Call of Duty was so popular?”
Ok, that’s actually a total and utter fabrication. What Chambers actually said was this: “Set to be one of the biggest games of the year, it’s great to see so much enthusiasm and anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2”.
The game will be released in November for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. If you missed the reveal trailer, here it is again.
