The intriguing saga of Nier: Automata’s PC release date appears to be at an end today, thanks to an official Japanese FAQ and a (pulled, obviously) Square Enix store page. Those links should send you to a Google translated version of the former, and a web cache version of the latter.
Both pages have 17 March as the PC launch date. The Square Enix store page also listed a few extras that come with a ‘Day One Edition’, including a Valve-gear eyepiece for the main character. You can see a (rather blurry, since I had to enlarge it) screenshot of that below. Keep in mind, this store page was pulled – so there’s still some doubt about that date.
Update: It’s now official, so no more doubts. 17 March it is.
Meanwhile, along with the same release date, the Japanese FAQ support page has some system requirements. These may be a bit iffy, however, as they seem to recommend an Nvidia GTX 980 or an R9 380X as your GPU. Now, as an owner of a 380X, it’s a hardy card, but it’s no 980. Here are the specs, nonetheless.
