New WoW Leaks Gives Players Insight Into Next Expansion

A new adventure awaits. Maybe.

World of Warcraft has been on a bit of a tear recently that doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Blizzard is keeping to the good times rolling with patch 10.2 on the horizon. A new leak has given an indication of what may be included in the next expansion.

Reddit Post Decrypts Next WoW Expansion

The new leak comes from a Reddit thread that has skyrocketed to the top of the WoW subreddit. There have long been rumors that Blizzard would one day release a pirate-themed expansion. It seems the rumors were true.

The leak claims the new expansion will send players to a brand-new continent called Avaloren, which has plenty of pre-established ties Warcraft lore. Most notably one of the titans, Odyn. According to wowpedia.com, Avaloren is an “unknown location” that had been unsuccessfully explored three times before in pursuit of a group of “heretics” to “answer for their crimes against Innaria.”

The leak goes on to detail four zones, which we can further assume is where we will quest and meet new factions. It’s basically the same model that they’ve now implemented for Shadowlands and Dragonflight.

At the time of writing, the post has not been taken down or copyright struck, and Blizzard has not made any statements regarding this post. That can change at any given moment, and, of course, as with all unconfirmed rumors, take it with a grain of salt.
