Tolkien fans have been in high spirits since Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor was announced. The game would be a dark, gritty adventure set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
The story will begin with the main character and ranger, Talion, who along with his comrades was killed when Sauron returned to Mordor where Talion was stationed. Talion is revived by a mysterious wraith which also gives him supernatural abilities. With vengeance in his heart, Talion heads to Mordor.
The infamous Ring of Power will feature though the story is separate from official Tolkien canon. The game will align with the Tolkien universe and you can expect to run into some familiar faces including Gollum The game will be open world with plenty of side quests to keep you occupied when you’re taking a break from hunting orcs.
The game will employ a new feature called the Nemesis System which means that the players actions will be noted and other characters in the game will react differently towards Talion and even bring up past encounters he had with them. There will also be a leveling up system which will be split into two branches, one for Talion’s ranger skills and one for his Wraith skills.
The more you explore, the more you will learn about Sauron’s army. A feature called Sauron’s Army allows you to inspect different types of enemies and help you find their weaknesses.

The game will be released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
