New Left 4 Dead 2 Achievements Hint At New Content

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

Valve has spilled the beans on the Achievements that will be added to Left 4 Dead 2 with this week’s The Passing DLC.As we reported last week, The Passing is due out this week on both Xbox 360 and PC – but what sort of new content can we expect?Well, Valve’s latest Left 4 Dead blog update contains a list of the Achievements we can expect to see in the game, and these hint at some of the new features.Things get a bit little spoilery from here on, so consider yourself warned. The list of Achievements follows, with the spoilery ones saved ’til last:Torch Bearer – Survive The Passing Campaign.Port of Scavenge – Play 5 full games of Scavenge on The Port.Fore! – Knock off the heads of 18 infected with the golf club.Til It Goes Click – Using the M60, kill 25 infected without letting go of the trigger.Killing Them Swiftly To This Song – Play the new Midnight Riders song on a jukebox.Wedding Crasher – As a Charger, grab a Survivor and crash them through 8 chairs at the wedding.Cache Grab – Open 5 foot lockers.Kite Like a Man – Kill a Tank only with damage from the original Survivors.Grave Robber – Collect 10 items dropped by a Fallen Survivor.Mutant Overlord – Play 6 Mutations. So, in terms of new stuff, there are foot lockers, the original Survivors will presumably spend some time protecting you, there’s a new Uncommon Common – the Fallen Survivor – and the new mode might be called Mutation.Valve reckons we should expect more details on the Left 4 Dead blog on Wednesday.
