The New HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset for PC/PS4 Now Available

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’re looking for a new gaming headset, then check out this new one from HyperX: the Cloud Flight Wireless.

This headset features compatibility with both PC and PS4 systems and also includes audio and mic controls and a detachable noise-canceling microphone. The ear cups rotate to 90° which allow the headset to be stored easily in a case so you can keep it protected in a bag while traveling. According to HyperX, the battery life can go up to 30 hours, depending on what settings you have the LED lighting system set to. Having them off gives you that full range, whereas having them on gives you between 13-18 hours depending on whether you set it to ‘Breathing’ or the solid ‘On’ mode.

Here are the spec highlights:

  • Gaming-grade wireless with long-lasting battery life
  • Signature HyperX comfort
  • Immersive in-game audio
  • Durable, adjustable steel slider
  • PC, PS4, and PS4 Pro ready
  • 90° rotating ear cups with LED lighting effects
  • Intuitive audio and mic controls
  • Detachable noise-cancellation

The Cloud Flight headset certainly doesn’t come cheap. You’ll need to shell out $159.99 if you intend to pick it up. I’m currently rocking a Bluedio T3 headset, which I got for about $30. I’m personally happy with the quality, but if you consider yourself to be an audiophile, then the new Cloud Flight just might be up your alley.
