The end of 2023 saw the release of the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition. Along with this, players were told that much like the first game, Forbidden West would make its way to PC in early 2024. Now, we have some new footage, as well as all new features coming to Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition.
All new features coming to Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition
In the early weeks of January 2024, developers Guerilla partnered with NVIDIA to show off new PC-only features for Horizon Forbidden West. The short overview of graphical features shows a wide array of performance boosters and quality enhancers. We’re going to go over all the features shown off, as well as what this means for players.

The first graphical enhancement shown in the video is the brand-new NVIDIA DLSS 3. DLSS 3 helps reduce CPU backpressure, allowing for more frames and better overall performance when used on computer systems.
Next, Horizon Forbidden West is getting NVIDIA DLAA, which, unlike DLSS, works off your computer’s native resolution instead of having to upscale the game. DLAA promotes better image quality and makes sure the luscious scenery of the game is shown off in all its glory.
Finally, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition on PC receives NVIDIA Reflex. NVIDIA Reflex is every FPS gamer’s favorite setting (when it works). NVIDIA Reflex gives players an edge in any game they play by further reducing any latency they experience. This means, that with NVIDIA Reflex when you decide to move your mouse and fire an arrow, there will be an even shorter time between your button press and the game’s responsiveness. Sadly, there is still no exact release date for the game on PC. So for now, get your PC hardware in tip-top shape to experience Horizon Forbidden West in the best way possible.
