First shown during last night’s American football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets, this new Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer was definitely not timed to coincide with the review embargo date for Medal of Honor.
The game the cool kids call ‘Codblops’ is far too stealthy and clever for such a blatant publicity-grab. This is obvious, because the trailer says so. There’s not a great deal of in-game stuff on show (a little motorbike riding grabs the attention,) but there’s plenty of portentious YOUR UNIT DOES NOT EXIST voiceover.
Apparently, these Black Ops fellows are there to stop the wars nobody knows about. Which is a bit odd, as you’d think the American government would want to publicise the fact that they’ve just stopped a war for a change.
