Need for Speed Shifts 100 Million Copies

EA has revealed that the popular racing franchise Need For Speed has now surpassed 100 million units.The recently released Need for Speed Shift pushed EA’s sales for the franchise over the 100 million milestone this week making it the most popular racing brand of all time. Fifteen titles have been released in the franchise with gamers notching up 79 billion miles of roads & race tracks in their vehicles. Need for Speed Nitro on the DS and Wii have still to be released next month so the figures are sure to rise further.“Few videogame franchises ever reach the 100M units mark, so this is a huge honor.
