EA has detailed plans for a new Need for Speed SHIFT patch.Going by a post on the official forums (thanks, Blues) there’s going to be a patch for recently-released racer Need for Speed SHIFT across PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.One of the biggest changes will allow 12 players to race online at a time, apparently up from 8. The game’s performance and stability have apparently been improved, too, along with car handling. On top of that, there are a whole raft of bugfixes, some of which should help stop crashes and improve performance further.Check out the forum page for the full details. If you don’t have SHIFT, you should consider it – both of our reviews (PC, PS3) seemed to find it to be a solid driving experience, although they argued a little over how well it all came together.
