The Facebook page for Creative Assembly’s Shogun 2: Total War has posted up five new screenshots depicting naval activities in the latest entry in the Total War series.
Actually, four of them show either boats or people on the deck of said boats, while one shows a fashionable bowman leading a larger squad of archers. They may be firing arrows at boats though, we just can’t be sure. As we’ve already learned naval combat will be a feature of Shogun 2, with designer James Russell stating that it’ll be “focusing a lot on boarding systems and stone-scissors-paper interplay between different ship types.”
It’s not entirely clear whether these are in-game images. They look a little too polished for that, so if they really are from the in-game engine it’s possible some post-processing ‘treatment’ has been applied.
Look below for the images.
