Namco Bandai and Paramount are joining forcres to release the new Star Trek title which will be coming to PC and consoles.
The game will be arriving during the first quarter of 2013 and is being touted as an “action-packed combat game” by Namco. The game will feature a stand-alone story which is being penned by BAFTA award winner and God of War writer Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
The new Trek title willl follow the Kirk and Spock characters in an adventure which will see them attempt to stop a “legendary enemy race” from conquering the galaxy.
The game was first unveiled at E3 last year in a pre-alpha stage and is in productin at Digital Extremes, the team behind The Darkness II and Bioshock 2.

This release has been inspired by the new upcoming Trek movie and will hit the shops before the movie arrives on the big screen next year.
